I've been having the WORST time sleeping lately. Between nightmares and just general restlessness, I can't fall asleep until 3 or 4.
I need help falling asleep at an earlier time -
Any suggestions of things that have helped you?

  1. 1. Not sure how much TV you watch but try not to watch TV for up to an hour before bed.
    2. Read - helps take your mind off things and relax
    3. Melatonin helps me when my brain just can't shut off thinking mode but don't do it regularly because you'll become reliable on it.
    4. Keep a routine of making yourself wake up at a certain time and after about a week you will start to find yourself naturally waking up around the same time.

  2. Crushwb here, I am an insomniac, recovered ;)
    1. Cut the caffeine, aspartame , includes tea with taurine, switch to herbal tea, try chamomile before bed
    2. before bed, cut out all the lights, exposure to LED screens, turn down your phones and blackout the room if you can, under the door, everything !
    3. don't have carbs or sweets late at night
    4. exercise a few hours before bed
    5. Always try to go to bed around the same time, even if you can't sleep at first
As an insomniac it took weeks to be able to sleep at all but I knew I wanted to avoid the use of medication. I still sometimes get carried away working on music promotion and oooops forget to sleep ;) but that is a choice hehe now I can get the Zzzzzzzzz's.
